DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Editor-in-Chief
Responsible for managing the receipt, organization, and systematization of the selection and peer-review processes of submitted manuscripts. Acts as mediator between institutional-political management activities and the evaluation of scientific production, based on the decisions of the editorial committee and the editor-in-chief, as immediate responsible parties for the quality of the content to be published. Directly responsible for the political and institutional direction of the publication as a means of disseminating knowledge in its field, and for coordinating its editorial activities. Also responsible for economic sustainability management and journal dissemination.
Editorial Board
Composed of professionals of recognized competence and national and international reputation in the journal’s editorial areas. It has a consultative role and may be invited to issue opinions on submitted material, provide suggestions for the journal’s editorial line, and propose thematic issues.
Scientific Council and Reviewers
Recognized experts in specific thematic areas of the journal, responsible for evaluating all submitted manuscripts. Submissions are sent to two reviewers from related areas with recognized expertise. Minimum criteria for a positive recommendation: a) originality and alignment with the journal scope; b) appropriate and valid methodology; c) rigorous analysis of results and conclusions supported by data; d) correct use of the Portuguese language; e) compliance with ethical standards and research integrity. Reviewer anonymity is guaranteed.
